Job Title: Bellman Driver
Department: Front Office / Guest Services
Reports To: Bell Captain / Chief Concierge
Job Summary:
The Bellman Driver is an ambassador for the hotel, providing the first physical welcome and the last farewell to guests. This role combines the duties of handling luggage with providing safe, courteous, and efficient local transportation. A Bellman Driver must possess a flawless driving record, extensive local knowledge, and an engaging personality to enhance the guest's arrival and departure experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Arrival & Departure:
• Greet guests upon arrival at the hotel entrance, open vehicle doors, and provide a warm welcome.
• Safely and carefully unload luggage from vehicles and transport it to the lobby or directly to guest rooms.
• Escort guests to the front desk for check-in and then to their rooms, explaining room features and hotel amenities along the way.
• Assist with luggage storage and retrieval for arriving, departing, and in-house guests.
• Transportation Services:
• Provide safe and prompt transportation for guests to and from local destinations (e.g., airports, restaurants, business centers) using the hotel vehicle.
• Maintain an extensive knowledge of local streets, traffic patterns, and points of interest to provide efficient routes and recommendations.
• Ensure the vehicle is always clean, fueled, and well-maintained, reporting any issues immediately.
• Guest Service & Information:
• Provide information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
• Assist in making reservations for restaurants, tours, and transportation.
• Deliver messages, packages, and amenities to guest rooms as requested.
• Coordinate with the doorperson and valet team to ensure a seamless flow of traffic at the hotel entrance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Bellman, Driver, or in a similar guest-facing role is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required for larger vehicles.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy luggage and stand for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and pleasant, engaging demeanor.
• Strong knowledge of the local area.
