Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Player Development

Deliver age-appropriate training to develop technical skills, game understanding, and physical ability. Provide basic individual feedback to help players improve. Create a positive, fun, and supportive learning environment.

Training & Practice

Plan and run regular training sessions using drills, games, and team activities. Focus on fundamental skills, teamwork, and simple game concepts. Adjust sessions based on player progress and group needs.

Games & Activities

Prepare players for matches, internal games, and friendly competitions. Conduct short pre- and post-activity reviews to support learning.

Seasonal Camps & Multi-Sport Programs

Deliver seasonal camps (Winter, Spring, Summer, Holiday). Run daily multi-sport sessions that focus on skill development and enjoyment. Adapt activities for different ages and ability levels. Support fun competitions, theme days, and camp events.

Team & Group Management

Maintain discipline, teamwork, and respect within groups. Manage group behavior and ensure smooth session flow. Communicate clearly with players, parents, and academy staff.

Player Welfare & Safety

Ensure all activities follow safety and academy guidelines. Monitor players' physical and emotional well-being. Apply basic injury prevention practices.

Administration

Take attendance and track basic player progress. Assist with schedules, equipment, and session setup.

Community & Academy Representation

Represent the academy professionally during sessions, camps, and events. Promote academy values and positive behavior.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous coaching experience, especially with youth or developmental teams, is highly preferred.

Skills:

Strong coaching skills with a focus on fundamental development, effective communication, and motivational abilities.

Education:

A degree in sports management, physical education, or a related field is beneficial. Coaching certifications specific to youth or academy levels are often required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to demonstrate basketball techniques and participate in practices as needed.
