Bartender
Reports To: Supervisor, Bar Manager (if applicable)
Supervises: Bar backs
Overview: The Bartender crafts classic and innovative cocktails, serves beverages, and manages the bar area as both a service point for the dining room and a destination for bar guests. They are a brand ambassador for the restaurant's beverage program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare all bar drinks for the dining room and bar top with speed, consistency, and artistry.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the cocktail menu, spirit portfolio, and wines by the glass.
- Provide engaging and knowledgeable service to guests seated at the bar.
- Manage bar inventory, conduct stock counts, and communicate ordering needs.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately.
- Train and direct Bar Backs in their duties.
- Adhere to all responsible alcohol service laws and standards.
- Proven experience as a bartender in a craft cocktail or fine-dining environment.
- Extensive knowledge of mixology, spirits, and wine.
- Excellent personal presentation and conversational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServeSafe Alcohol).
