Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is not just a drink maker but a storyteller, a host, and a key contributor to our guests' experience. You will be responsible for preparing and serving classic and innovative alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and providing exceptional customer service that encourages repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
Mixology & Service:

• Prepare and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits, following standard recipes and custom guest requests.
• Possess extensive knowledge of beverage ingredients, preparation techniques, and appropriate glassware.
• Make recommendations and answer all product-related questions knowledgeably.
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age of guests.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately using the POS system and maintain a balanced cash drawer.

Customer Experience:

• Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.
• Engage with guests in a genuine manner, remembering regulars and their preferences.
• Manage the bar area, including serving guests seated at the bar and supporting servers with drink orders for tables.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and calmly.

Bar Management & Cleanliness:

• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized bar area at all times, including bar tops, sinks, equipment, and glassware.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, ice, and utensils.
• Complete opening and closing side work duties efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Teamwork:

• Collaborate effectively with servers, barbacks, and management to ensure seamless service.
• Train and mentor new bartenders and barbacks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills
Required:

• Proven experience as a Bartender.
• Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and bar equipment.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service guidelines (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol certification is a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional during high-volume periods.
• Strong math skills for handling cash and giving correct change.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kegs or cases (up to 50 lbs).
• Must meet state/local minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.

Preferred:

• Certification in responsible alcohol service.
• Knowledge of craft beer, wine, and spirits trends.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Ability to create and develop new cocktail recipes.
