Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, pour-overs, teas, and specialty beverages according to shop standards.
Operate and maintain coffee equipment including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
Engage customers with warmth and professionalism, offering menu recommendations and answering questions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and cafe area.
Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Handle cash and card transactions using the POS system.
Assist in opening and closing duties including setup, cleaning, and inventory checks.
Stay informed about coffee origins, roasting profiles, and brewing methods to educate customers.
Support training of new staff members when required.
Skills & Qualifications
3+ years barista experience in a specialty coffee environment.
Proficiency in latte art and milk texturing.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Knowledge of specialty coffee and brewing techniques (e.g., espresso extraction, milk texturing, pour-over).
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
