Job Title: Barista
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Head Barista
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an artist and a scientist, dedicated to crafting the perfect cup of coffee and delivering outstanding service. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages, maintaining equipment, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:

• Beverage Preparation:
• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and cold brew, to a high standard of quality and consistency.
• Master latte art and presentation techniques.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards for all beverages.
• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly and engage with them to understand their preferences.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on coffee selections, explaining different origins and brew methods.
• Handle customer orders and transactions efficiently and accurately using the POS system.
• Operations & Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee station.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of all coffee equipment (espresso machine, grinders, etc.).
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, informing the manager when orders are needed.
• Product Knowledge:
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of coffee beans, grinds, roasts, and brewing techniques.
• Stay updated on current coffee trends and industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a specialty coffee shop or upscale cafe/restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso preparation.
• Proficiency in latte art is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for quality.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
