Reports to: Restaurant Manager / Head Barista
Job Overview:
The Barista is an expert in coffee preparation, dedicated to crafting high-quality beverages with speed and consistency. They are a brand ambassador for Maison Mathis, providing excellent service and product knowledge to guests.
Key Responsibilities:

• Coffee Preparation: Expertly prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold coffee beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.) according to company standards and recipes.
• Machine Maintenance: Operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment daily.
• Product Knowledge: Have extensive knowledge of coffee blends, teas, and other offerings. Educate guests and make recommendations.
• Service: Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service at the coffee bar. Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Stock Management: Monitor and restock coffee bar supplies, including syrups, milk, pastries, and disposable items.
• Cleanliness: Ensure the coffee bar and surrounding area are kept clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a specialty coffee shop or high-end cafe.
• In-depth knowledge of coffee brewing methods and espresso technique.
• Passion for coffee and dedication to quality.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently during peak hours.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
