Location: Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi
Department: Bar / Food & Beverage
Reports to: Head Bartender / Bar Manager
Job Overview:
The Barback provides essential support to the bartending team, ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently. You are responsible for maintaining stock, cleanliness, and organization, allowing bartenders to focus on crafting exceptional beverages and serving guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restock the bar with liquor, mixers, glassware, ice, and supplies throughout the shift.
- Wash and polish glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, back bar, and storage areas, including wiping down surfaces and removing trash.
- Cut, prepare, and store fruit garnishes and other bar mise-en-place.
- Assist bartenders with simple tasks during peak hours (e.g., opening bottles, fetching items).
- Change kegs and manage beer taps as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to the Bar Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards in the bar.
- Previous experience as a barback or in a similar support role is advantageous.
- Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, often loud environment.
- Good physical condition for lifting heavy cases and being on your feet.
- Basic knowledge of bar equipment and beverages is a plus.
