Job Summary:

The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining high standards of beverage quality, and managing the bar team. This role includes inventory control, staff training, financial performance, and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Key Responsibilities:Operational Management

Oversee the daily bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. Develop and maintain beverage menus, including cocktails, mocktails, and specialty drinks. Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times. Monitor beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.

Staff Management

Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule bar staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and coach team members. Ensure staff follow standard operating procedures and service standards.

Customer Service

Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by providing outstanding service. Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly. Build rapport with guests and ensure a pleasant bar experience.

Financial & Inventory Control

Manage bar budget, cost control, and revenue targets. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for beverages and bar supplies. Conduct regular stocktakes and ensure accurate reporting. Minimize wastage and implement proper portion control practices.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations. Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness standards. Implement and enforce responsible alcohol service policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Bar Manager or Senior Bartender in a hospitality environment. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent knowledge of beverages, mixology, and bar operations. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Good financial awareness and understanding of cost control. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
