Bar Manager

You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Bar Manager, you shall take ownership of Bar Operations. You shall be play a significant role in maximizing financial performance and attracting hotel and non-hotel guests by understanding the local market and effectively positioning the outlet. You should heavily involve yourself with promoting the bar menu planning, maintaining standards, assisting servers on the floor during peak periods and managing property liquor inventories and controls. Strengthens the Food and Beverage/Culinary team by assisting in other outlets as and when needed.

What you shall be doing:

Taking an Entrepreneurial Approach towards the overall functioning of bar.

Demonstrate a perfect knowledge of all beverages being prepared (to recipe) and presented in bar, and should have skills to train bar personnel to possess this knowledge and application of it.

Understands financial opportunities & attract guests by developing and implementing marketing strategy and through other modes of communication, Should be able to evaluate existing process & their results. Also he/she should be able to Identify and track the changing patterns of beverage industry.

Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll reports as needed to assist in the financial management of outlet. Person should be able to control the operating cost & meet & exceed the financial budgets.

Creates network of sources to outreach to business opportunities. Participates in local networking activities. Confers with key individuals in the local community to assess opportunities while identifying and analysing competitors surrounding to outlet.

Owns bar related Marketing Strategy on various platforms such as social media platforms and public events monitors social media activity; responds to comments; analyses posts/trends; corrects deficiencies.

Serves as the primary point of contact for any events in bar. Coordinates and books entertainment and events. Attends pre- and post-event meetings. Maintains and monitors all collateral, menus and other touch points to increase guest satisfaction.

Interacts with liquor purveyors and purchases wine, beer and spirits for the outlet.

Comply with licensing regulations and hotel procedures relating to the bar and service of alcoholic beverages and accordingly imparts training to staff. Monitors adherence to liquor control policies and procedures

Participates in the hiring process to identify the right talent to support the outlet\xe2\x80\x99s concept. Ensure guidance and direction to subordinates in a timely manner. Should develop a Personal Development Plan & should conduct departmental trainings to increase employees understanding of guest expectations.

Should have knowledge of HACCAP procedures & should ensure 100% Compliance of guidelines in bar.

Your experience and skills include:

Should have at least 4 year experience with international hospitality company as Bar Manager.

A warm personality, attentive and smartly presentable with out of box thinking skills.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Should have track record of meeting & exceeding the monthly drink profit margin target.

Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming.

Excellent organizational skills and time management with Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
