The Banquet Captain oversees the banquet operations, ensuring smooth service during events. They lead and coordinate the banquet team to provide excellent customer service, maintain high standards of hospitality, and ensure client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate banquet staff during events to ensure efficient service
Oversee food and beverage service, maintaining quality and presentation standards
Communicate with event planners, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless event execution
Handle guest requests, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive guest experience
Train and mentor banquet staff to uphold service standards and safety protocols
Monitor inventory of banquet supplies and communicate needs to management
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Prepare and submit event reports, including staffing and incident records
Qualifications:
Proven experience in banquet or event service, preferably in a supervisory role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Relevant hospitality certification is a plus
