Reporting to the Baking Center Manager of Lesaffre Gulf, you will ensure product quality and support innovation by conducting baking tests, monitoring performance, handling non-conformities, and providing technical support for new product development.
You will also assist in baking center activities for the Gulf cluster countries (Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Yemen) and contribute to increasing sales of Lesaffre yeasts and ingredients through strong market knowledge.
Your missions :
Commercial Development and Customer Relations
Realization of visits to existing distributors together with the commercial team to meet the market's needs
Proactive approach towards customers for a strong relationship and network
Organizing through the Baking Centre Manager reception/training for sales team and customers based on projects
Participating/organizing seminars and exhibitions
For all visits in the field, creating a comprehensive report to include data, photos to be shared with the commercial team and Baking Centre Manager
Technical Support and Field Activities
Providing technical support to bakers and performing product demonstrations in the market
Providing technical support to bakers and conducting demonstrations and benchmarking of products in our in-house facility
Leading projects on industrial customers to get technical/functional approval of current or tailor-made products to start business
Data collection from industrial customers to have information in detail
Close cooperation with commercial and Baking Centre Manager to follow-up projects and improve business
Market Analysis and Product Development
Analyzing competitors in the market and collecting competitors' samples for analysis
Calculating costs of competitors' products in use and offer to the customer Lesaffre products based on the existing price list
Offering innovative ideas to improve the quality of products and services to customers in the market using Lesaffre product range
Actively participating in product development based on market needs with his/her Baking Centre Manager and Regional Baking Centre Formulation Manager
Following-up market trends, competition, and consumer behaviors to take needed actions on company-related products
Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor's degree in food science or in the bakery industry. Experience in craft baking, product testing, industrial bread production and laboratory analysis
Technical Skills :
Strong knowledge of confectionery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Soft Skills :
Ability to prioritize daily activities to meet client/internal needs within established timelines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to monitor and report on assigned tasks, goals, and objectives
Listening to different perspectives and showing flexibility
Ability to work with different personalities/teams, build collaboration and consensus
