Were seeking a skilled and organized Bakery Sous Chef to support the Bakery Chef in managing daily operations. This role involves hands-on baking, team supervision, and maintaining high standards of consistency and quality in all baked products.
Key Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Assist the Bakery Chef in overseeing the production of breads, viennoiseries, and other baked items.
xc2xb7 Lead and support bakery staff to ensure smooth shift operations.
xc2xb7 Monitor baking processes including mixing, proofing, and baking.
xc2xb7 Ensure consistency in product quality, portioning, and presentation.
xc2xb7 Maintain accurate inventory and assist in ordering supplies.
xc2xb7 Enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP protocols.
xc2xb7 Train junior bakers and commis in techniques and workflow.
xc2xb7 Take charge in the Bakery Chefs absence and uphold all standards.
Requirements
xc2xb7 Minimum 45 years of bakery experience, with at least 12 years in a supervisory role.
xc2xb7 Diploma/ Bachelors Degree in Bakery, Hospitality, or a related field.
xc2xb7 HACCP Certified strong knowledge of sanitation and food safety.
xc2xb7 Skilled in various dough techniques, fermentation, and baking methods.
xc2xb7 Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
xc2xb7 Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
xc2xb7 Passionate about artisan baking and quality control.
