Baker & Cake Decorator
to join our creative kitchen team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate should be experienced in baking from scratch, has a strong eye for detail, and can design and execute stunning, on-trend cakes and desserts that wow our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Baking:
Prepare a wide range of baked goods including cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, breads and pastries all from scratch.
Follow and adapt recipes to ensure consistent quality and taste.
Ensure all items are baked and ready before store opening hours.
Test new recipes
Decorating:
Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and cookies using buttercream, fondant, and other techniques.
Use freehand decorating and tools/kits to produce beautiful, detailed designs.
Create custom-themed and seasonal cakes with precision and creativity.
Execute piping, floral work, and character or sculpted cakes as needed.
Ensure presentation and aesthetics are always up to brand standards.
Kitchen & Quality Management:
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations in line with Dubai Municipality guidelines.
Keep a clean and organized work area at all times.
Collaborate with the team on menu development and seasonal ideas.
Maintain baking timelines to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
Track inventory and report low-stock ingredients.
Attend scheduled staff meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
Customer Service:
Ensure the final look and quality of products meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Assist in custom order preparation for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions.
Uphold company standards for customer service, presentation, and professionalism.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of hands-on baking and cake decorating experience.
Skilled in buttercream and fondant; experience with 3D/sculpted cakes is a plus.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and hygiene.
Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Creative flair, artistic vision, and attention to detail.
Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player.
Open to applicants of all nationalities.
Available for early morning shifts and weekends as required.
