Job Description
Bagel Yard Cafe is looking for a JUNIOR baker/bagel maker. The ideal candidate is someone who is organised, reliable and is willing to learn and be part of a close-knit team. Candidates with no prior relevant experience will be provided training.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Setting up baking and production area;
Attending to dough from mixing through hand-rolling, boiling, topping and baking;
Checking for doneness, cooling and packaging items for distribution;
Cleaning and sanitizing work stations and equipment during each shift;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Passion for and interest in baking and working different shifts, including very early in the mornings;
Knowledge of common kitchen measurements and conversions and basic math competency;
Team player, dependable and trustworthy; able to work under pressure.
Ability to lift and carry 25 kg bags.
