JOB PURPOSE:
  • To provide compliance support to Business and enablement units on all compliance matters as requested by the VP Compliance. Where the manager will run with the allotted day to day processes and follow ups.
  • Understand technical details in Consumer & Global Private Banking and related compliance requirements to become the first point of contact for requirements and queries delegated by the VP Compliance.
  • Attend all related training to attain insight of FAB\'s compliance turn around and processes and procedure.
  • Involvement in the day-to-day Compliance deliverables as requested by the VP Compliance which include but not limited to, daily, weekly, and monthly follow up with the business as assigned by the VP Compliance PB.
  • Conduct and attend meetings with Business to address subjects assigned by VP Compliance PB
  • Assist in Compliance related projects as requested by the VP Compliance
  • Assist the accredited compliance officer in addressing SCA\'s regulatory requirements as described and stipulated by SCA\'s regulations and Rule Book according to VP Compliance instructions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Support the VP for being the first point of contact for the business and other enablement units.
  • Responsible for the daily communication and queries from the business, and escalating to VP, Compliance PB issues for further review, guidance, and recommendation.
  • Support the VP, Compliance PB to act as a compliance role model to the business teams and other enablement.
  • Carry out VP instructions to support the Business Units and other enablement units to adhere to Group Compliance policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Attending for daily actions from compliance.
  • Support VP Compliance to develop, strengthen and manage relationships with business and other enablement units to promote best practice and ensure a good understanding of Compliance requirements.
  • Attend periodic compliance-business meetings with the heads of business and other enablement units.
  • Being part of the meetings\' management and setup
  • Managing minutes of meeting and follow up upon VP request.
  • Following up on agreed open issues and escalating to VP when required.
  • Understand the end-to-end processes of the business and other regulatory requirements.
Securities and Commodities Authority Requirements
  • Support accredited compliance officer in updating bylaws evidencing and regulating them along with managing conflict of interests of the licensed bodies with its clients to ensure continuity of the financial activity practice in a legal valid manner.
  • Support accredited compliance officer following up and supervision of the application of the procedures of encountering money laundering, terrorism financing and illegal organizations financing in accordance with the relevant legislations.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of FAB Values.
Job Context

Global Private Banking
  • Provide guidance and advice on client KYC related matters, Onboarding, and screening matches
  • Financial Promotions, review business requests and attain final approval from VP / AVP before communication final recommendation to the Business
  • General Compliance advisory: review the business queries and attain final approval from VP / AVP before communication final recommendation to the Business.
  • EWRA: Assist in the rollout and follow-up of the EWRA as instructed by VP
  • Risk and control self-assessment (RCSA): Assist in the rollout and follow-up of the RCSA as instructed by VP
  • Audit Issues: follow up on audit issues (Internal / External) as instructed by VP
  • Maintain logs for the KRIs as instructed by the VP
  • Bloomberg Compliance breaches: communicate the daily breaches report to the business and follow up (breach report / closure)
  • Support Business new initiates as requested by VP.
  • Assist Accredited Compliance officer to provide Compliance coverage for functions licensed by SCA and provide the appropriate actions and support as per regulatory requirements like following up with the business on SCA required reporting (monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual and Annual)
  • Assist Accredited Compliance officer to provide guidance for the license renewal process
  • Attending general meetings and committees with the business
Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or Higher in Management, Banking or Finance preferably with Certification in Compliance related subjects
Minimum Experience
  • Minimum three years of compliance, audit, or risk function experience.
