Av Technician
Job Description
Install, test, and operate AV equipment including microphones, speakers, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, soundboards, and lighting systems.
Configure and operate video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx) for hybrid/remote events.
Conduct regular maintenance on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively during events or meetings.
Maintain inventory of AV equipment and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Create and maintain documentation for AV setups, wiring diagrams, and user guides.
Provide on-site technical support during live events, presentations, or productions.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in AV or related field. 1+ year of experience in an AV technician or similar role. Proficiency with AV equipment and systems (soundboards, mixers, projectors, switchers, etc.). Knowledge of video conferencing platforms and basic networking. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
