We are seeking a skilled AV and Collaboration Technology Engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of AV and collaboration solutions across meeting rooms, conference spaces, and enterprise environments. Reporting to the AV and Collaboration Technology Specialist, this role will be responsible for the daily operations, troubleshooting, and optimization of AV systems, video conferencing platforms, and collaboration tools.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining AV equipment, with expertise in platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, Webex, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, and Dante audio solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. AV System Installation & Maintenance
Installation, configuration, and testing
of
AV hardware, control systems, video conferencing equipment, and digital displays
.
Perform
routine maintenance and firmware updates
on AV devices.
Ensure all meeting rooms and collaboration spaces are
operational, clean, and functional
.
Maintain AV asset inventory and track
equipment usage, repairs, and replacements
.
2. Support & Troubleshooting
Provide
Tier 1 and Tier 2 support
for AV and collaboration tools, escalating complex issues to senior team members as needed.
Diagnose and resolve
hardware, software, and network-related AV issues
.
Support
executive meetings, town halls, and live events
to ensure seamless AV operations.
Train end-users on
best practices for AV and video conferencing tools
.
3. AV & Collaboration Technology Operations
Monitor and manage
AV systems remotely
using management tools for
Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, and other AV control platforms
.
Ensure AV systems are properly integrated with IT infrastructure, following company security and compliance standards.
Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot
network-related AV issues
and ensure
stable connectivity
.
4. Meeting Room & Event Support
Set up and configure
meeting spaces, boardrooms, training rooms, and huddle spaces
with video conferencing and collaboration tools.
Provide
on-site and remote support
for live events, executive meetings, and hybrid workspaces.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
5. Documentation & Process Improvement
Maintain
documentation for AV room setups, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides
.
Assist in
developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
for AV support.
Continuously improve AV workflows and processes to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in
AV support, installation, or operations
.
A
V Technology Expertise:
Hands-on experience with
Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, AMX, Biamp, Dante, Shure, and other AV control and audio systems
.
Collaboration Tools:
Experience supporting
Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, Poly, Logitech, and other video conferencing platforms
.
Technical Knowledge:
Basic understanding of
AV-over-IP, network configurations (Cisco, Meraki), and signal flow
.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Strong problem-solving skills in
resolving AV hardware and software issues
.
Certifications (Preferred):
CTS, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, or equivalent AV-related certification.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, customer service, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
