The Automotive Workshop Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, order, and safety of the workshop area. This includes cleaning floors, tools, equipment, and customer waiting areas to ensure a professional and hazard-free environment for both staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, and scrub workshop floors, ensuring they remain free of oil, grease, and debris.
Clean work bays, equipment, and tools as instructed by the workshop supervisor.
Properly dispose of waste materials, including used oil, filters, and other workshop refuse, following environmental and safety standards.
Wipe and clean workbenches, shelves, and tool cabinets regularly.
Maintain cleanliness of customer areas (waiting lounge, restrooms, reception) if required.
Refill cleaning materials and supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.) as needed.
Assist in organizing and maintaining cleanliness in the parts storage area.
Follow safety guidelines and wear proper PPE (gloves, safety shoes, mask, etc.) at all times.
Report any maintenance issues, spills, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Support technicians when required in moving vehicles or parts safely around the workshop (if authorized).
Qualifications and Skills:
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance (automotive workshop experience is an advantage).
Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good physical stamina; able to perform manual labor.
Basic understanding of workplace safety and hygiene standards.
Working Conditions:
Work performed mainly in a workshop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and vehicle exhaust.
May require standing for long periods and lifting up to 20 kg.
Work schedule may include weekends or extended hours based on operational needs.
