Carzilla Motors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Pre-Owned Car Purchasing Agent

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring high-quality used vehicles for our dealership or resale inventory. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of vehicle market values, and a commitment to making informed purchasing decisions that support our company's growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Source and acquire pre-owned vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, or wholesale dealers Conduct vehicle inspections and review condition reports Negotiate pricing and purchase terms with sellers Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and current wholesale values Ensure proper documentation and title transfer for all acquisitions Build and maintain relationships with vendors, sellers, and other sourcing partners Monitor inventory needs and coordinate with the sales team to understand demand Maintain accurate records of purchases and transactions Follow all state and federal regulations regarding vehicle purchases

Requirements:

Previous experience in automotive purchasing, sales, or appraisal preferred Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and market trends Excellent negotiation and communication skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to travel locally to inspect and pick up vehicles High attention to detail and organizational skills Self-motivated and able to work independently
