Job Description

The Car Body Parts Remover & Installer (for Painting) is responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process by removing, labeling, and reinstalling body panels, trim, and related components. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of vehicle structures to ensure high-quality paint results and proper reassembly.

Key Responsibilities:



Remove exterior and interior body parts such as bumpers, doors, moldings, mirrors, lights, grilles, and emblems in preparation for painting. Carefully mask, bag, and label removed parts to prevent loss or damage. Inspect parts and panels for damage and report any issues to the body or paint technician. Reinstall parts after painting, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality. Assist paint technicians with vehicle prep, such as sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop safety and environmental procedures. Use proper tools and equipment (hand tools, impact wrenches, trim tools, etc.) to remove and install parts efficiently. Follow work orders and quality standards to meet production schedules. Assist in protecting vehicle interiors and components during the painting process.

Qualifications & Skills:



3+ years of experience in an auto body or collision repair shop preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive body components. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
