The Auto Denter is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle body panels to their original condition after accidents or damage. This includes removing dents, repairing body panels, and preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent of structural and body damage.
Remove, repair, or replace damaged panels and parts (e.g., fenders, doors, bumpers, bonnets, roofs).
Straighten frames and body sections using appropriate tools and techniques.
Perform dent removal, metal finishing, and filler application.
Align body parts to factory specifications using measuring systems and alignment equipment.
Sand and prepare surfaces for painting.
Ensure proper fit and finish of all repaired or replaced panels.
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in good condition.
Follow workshop safety procedures and manufacturer repair standards.
Coordinate with painters and mechanics to ensure timely completion of repair jobs.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or technical certification in auto body repair (preferred).
Proven years of experience as an Auto Denter.
Knowledge of vehicle body structures and repair techniques.
Ability to operate dent pullers, welders, grinders, and other workshop tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals or repair instructions.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
