An
Auto Body Repair Technician (Panel Beater)
is responsible for repairing and restoring the structural and cosmetic parts of vehicles after damage from collisions or wear. This role involves removing, repairing, and replacing damaged body panels and frames to return vehicles to their original shape and function.Key Responsibilities:
Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair techniques. Remove damaged body panels and components using hand and power tools. Repair metal panels by hammering, welding, and reshaping. Replace panels or structural parts such as doors, fenders, bumpers, and frames. Use body filler, sanding, and straightening tools to restore surface condition. Align vehicle frames and unibodies using frame machines.
Requirements:
Proven 3 years experience as a panel beater or auto body repair technician. Skilled in welding, grinding, and metalwork techniques. Ability to read vehicle repair diagrams and technical instructions. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy parts and perform hands-on work.
