Review piping system drawings, P&IDs, and marine classification society requirements.
Develop and issue work preparation documents, including:
Work scope descriptions
Material take-offs (MTO)
Job cards
Weld maps and isometric sketches
Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and logistics to ensure readiness.
Ensure material availability and pre-fabrication readiness for onboard or yard execution.
Liaise with Class, QA/QC, and safety departments to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Monitor progress of work packages and adjust planning as needed.
Conduct site surveys onboard vessels or offshore platforms when required.
Support commissioning and testing activities for marine piping systems (e.g., HVAC, fuel, ballast, bilge, cooling water, etc.).
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical / Marine / Piping Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of work preparation experience in the marine, offshore, or shipbuilding sector.
Strong understanding of marine piping systems and associated codes (IMO, SOLAS, IACS, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret marine drawings and P&IDs.
Familiar with ERP and planning systems (SAP, Aveva, or equivalent).
Hands-on experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic shipyard or offshore environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to work in shipyards or offshore environments when needed.
