Main Purpose of the Job The primary purpose of the Attendant - Hospitality position is to provide excellent customer service and support in a hospitality setting. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience by delivering exceptional service and attending to guests' needs. Main Competencies required for the Position The main competencies required for the job position of Attendant - Hospitality are: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Knowledge of hospitality operations and procedures. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing demands and work schedules. Main Duties / Responsibilities The main duties and responsibilities of the job position of Attendant - Hospitality are: Greeting guests upon arrival and providing a warm and friendly welcome. Assisting guests with check-in, check-out, and luggage handling. Responding to guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Providing information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions. Assisting guests with requests such as room service, transportation, or additional amenities. Compliant with BICS standards and procedures. Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in public areas, including lobbies, reception areas, and restrooms. Coordinating with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Minimum qualifications / educational levels required for this position High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not mandatory. Training or certification in hospitality or related fields may be advantageous. Selection Criteria BICSc certified or trained is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests effectively. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Special Conditions Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such aslifting and carrying.
