Reclatam is hiring a detail-oriented, compassionate, and bilingual

Asylum Legal Assistant

to support a California-based immigration law firm. This is a 100% remote position, ideal for someone with a strong background in asylum or immigration law, excellent communication skills, and fluency in

Arabic

.

You will play a critical role in helping individuals and families navigate the U.S. asylum process by providing administrative support, gathering documentation, preparing filings, and communicating with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in preparing asylum applications, affidavits, and supporting documents. Translate and summarize Arabic documents into English for legal use. Conduct client intakes and maintain regular communication with Arabic-speaking clients. Prepare and organize evidence packets and filing materials. Track deadlines and monitor case progress using the firms case management system. Coordinate with clients to collect missing information and ensure timely submissions. Respond to client inquiries with empathy and professionalism. Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support thelegal team.

Requirements:

Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)

Prior experience as a legal assistant, preferably in immigration law. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written communication skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working remotely and available to work duringPacific Time (California hours). Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management systems (Filevine or similar is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or paralegal certification. Knowledge of U.S. asylum procedures and immigration forms.
