AG Resources is looking for an Assurance Manager (Fixed Assets & Inventory Management) for our reputable client. Location: Dubai Job Objective: As an Assurance Manager specializing in Fixed Assets Tagging & Inventory Management, you will assume a pivotal role in providing assurance to clients on various approaches to manage their fixed assets and inventory through effective tagging, tracking, and control procedures. Your expertise in asset management, technology integration, and regulatory compliance will drive your team in delivering tailored solutions that enhance clients\' asset visibility, accuracy of inventory records, and adherence to industry standards. By leading a team of professionals, you will contribute to optimizing clients\' operational efficiency, financial reporting, and overall business performance. Key Responsibilities: Understand Inventory Management System
  • Physical layout understanding
  • Business process understanding
  • Understanding current inventory coding system
Count Closure and Handover
  • Conducted physical verification of all the inventory as per the agreed scope
  • Submitted our final report on work performed and findings/recommendations as an outcome of this assignment
Knowledge Sharing / Transfer
  • Meetings during the assignment
  • Sharing of notes and documentation prepared as part of the assignment
  • Discussing key issues noted and their root causes
  • Jointly work in close coordination with concerned staff
Develop Project
  • Develop project plan
  • Develop coordination plan
  • Allocate a team of experienced, knowledgeable & qualified professionals for the inventory validation and count
Perform Physical Verification
  • Inventory count at agreed date(s) of the inventory in hand (including the new inventory imported).
  • Inventory in warehouses to be counted as \xe2\x80\x9cfloor to sheet\xe2\x80\x9d.
  • Inventory verification/count will be performed.
Inventory Reconciliation
  • Identifying variances between physical counts and Company\xe2\x80\x99s inventory records.
  • Communicate variances to the concerned department.
Requirements:
  • ACCA Qualified or CA \xe2\x80\x93 Inter with articles completed from Big 4 is mandatory.
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in tangible assets valuation practice of an accounting or financial consulting, quantity surveying or insurance firms.
  • Report writing experience in accordance with industry norms and clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements
  • Experience implementing International Financial Reporting Standards and/or International Public.
  • Accounting Standards with specific focus Property, Plant and Equipment, Impairment of Assets, and Fair Value Measurement.
  • Exposure to previous enterprise asset management projects, preferably in the UAE or any other GCC, in a consulting capacity.
  • Experience applying tangible Asset\xe2\x80\x99s valuation approaches and methods to develop valuation models
  • Experience performing/reviewing tangible assets valuation for financial reporting and other purpose
  • Experience working with Fixed Asset Registers in asset intensive industries
  • Engineering aptitude and understanding of various tangible assets types combined with problem solving skills
  • Data analysis skills utilizing digital tools such as Apteryx and Power BI
