About our client
We are working with a prestigious sovereign wealth fund based in Abu Dhabi who are seeking to hire an associate to join their global research and investing team, with a specific focus on the real estate sector. What the job involves

• Spearheading the application of data science, machine learning and AI in the real estate department
• Summarise global investment themes
• Analyse major trends that impact property sectors such as office, industrial, retail, residential, hotel, senior housing, data centres, self-storage, proptech, etc
• Interpret third-party forecasts of property markets and assist in the formation of house views on major investment markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific
• Support senior colleagues in developing relevant and coherent presentations to senior management and investment professionals as required
• Maintain the department's database of external reports, market data and forecasts. Manage real estate subscriptions with data and forecast providers as required
• Track research variables in economics, capital market, space market, real estate investment market, and private property market performance globally
• Use in-depth economic and real estate market analysis to underpin investment recommendations
• Communicate complex technical ideas in a non-technical manner as appropriate to the audience
• Present research and recommendations to relevant parties within the department

• An undergraduate degree is required. Postgraduate degree and professional qualifications such as the CFA are a plus
• Relevant experience in an investment manager, consulting firm, real estate research firm, developer, investment bank or other real estate focused companies is required
• Candidates must be currently working in the United States
• The individual must be able to write professionally and be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Bloomberg is preferred
• Strong maths skills and advanced knowledge of SQL, knowledge of R or Python are required
• Need to have work experience, knowledge and interest in data science, machine learning and AI
