What is Grant Thornton\'s QRM Department?

The Quality & Risk Management team at Grant Thornton UAE provides internal firm support services to all offices in the UAE in many specialist areas as follows:
  • Audit methodology and accounting technical support
  • Quality and risk management
  • Client acceptance, continuance & onboarding support
  • Legal and data protection
  • Assist in the client acceptance and reacceptance checks for new and existing clients across all service lines
  • Assist with background screening for new and existing clients and assist in clearance of reported results
  • Assist with monitoring the Global Independence System for reporting and managing risk and independence matters
  • Assist with preparation of DFSA/ ADGM reports and ensure compliance
  • Assist with performance of domestic and international relationship conflict checks
  • Assist with World Check alerts so that they are monitored, communicated, and actioned within 24 hours of such alerts
  • Assist in review of policies and risk assessment procedures in accordance with relevant standards
  • Assist with managing the QRM mailbox and ensure that all queries are resolved within 24hours
  • Assist in compliance testing
  • Assist with monitoring the archiving of external audit files
  • Assist with the maintenance of various risk registers
  • Assist in implementation of risk-based Customer Risk Assessments
  • Assist with Remaining up to date on current regulatory and compliance changes
  • Carry out any other tasks as may be assigned within the department
  • You\'ll have a Bachelor or Master degree in accounting, business, law, administration or similar subjects
  • Enthusiasm to learn through a combination of structured, on-the-job and self-directed training
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environment with strong attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
  • Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
The QRM team provide strategic, innovative, creative and most importantly quality services and solutions to enable our people every day to give the best external client service. The QRM team promotes and monitors compliance with applicable auditing and accounting standards, external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage Grant Thornton\'s regulatory, litigation and reputational risk.
