Job Announcement Associate Producer, Programming

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking an experienced Associate Producer for our Programming team in our Dubai Bureau in UAE. MBN is a non-profit, multimedia broadcaster that provides news and information to audiences in the Middle East and North Africa through television, radio and digital properties in support of US diplomacy. Associate Producer is responsible to assist in all areas of production, from editorial decisions, pre-production through post-production of programs, package elements, live events, and features and long form films. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Associate Producer, Include, but are not limited to:

Assists Producer with defining, writing and producing shows.

Creates and maintains development schedules.

Manages the flow of assets and information between production team and internal team members.

Translates the show content into exciting, informative, relevant digital multi platform content.

Researches and creates lower thirds and graphics.

Coordinates and completes forms for guest fees payment and invoices for outside vendors.

Pulls segments of show together and edit sound bites, interviews and music.

Writes reports and scripts in coordination with show producer.

Edits video content for the show, including writing headlines and captions and creating photos to accompany videos.

Write and recommend online content from existing material. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Journalism or Communications. 3 years TV experience in a media production environment. Must have excellent Arabic, English written and verbal communication skills. Ability to edit a high volume of content in a timely manner. Prior experience using Avid, Photoshop, Word and Excel is preferred. Proficient with Windows based programs and operating systems.
