About the Role
SS&C Globe Op are seeking candidates with a strong fund accounting background to perform an Associate Manager/Manager Role in its Abu Dhabi location. The position involves being responsible for ensuring the completion of NAV production on Daily, Weekly or Monthly funds within set deliverable timeframes in addition to other Fund accounting related activities for a number of key client relationships.
Your Responsibilities
- Co-ordination and planning of NAV deliverables, financial statements and any related fund accounting activities to ensure that all client requirements are met.
- Taking ownership for all Client NAV and Fund Accounting related deliverables for a team, ensure they are completed and delivered on time, to the highest standard and in line with service level agreements and procedures.
- Perform NAV reviews to ensure the accuracy of the NAV being provided to the client.
- Where required, help in the preparation of NAV Production, Investor Allocations, Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting.
- Responsible for managing any NAV issues and ensure timely escalation to line manager.
- Assist in the annual audit, dealing with audit queries in timely manner.
- Understanding and Implementing Fund Prospectus and Governing Documentation on SS&C Systems.
- Ensuring that the Client continually receives a high quality service and that positive client scores are maintained.
- Day to day management of teams in relation to all client and internal deliverables.
- Ensure staff adhere to standard operating procedures and controls.
- Ensuring effective oversight and monitoring of KPI\xe2\x80\x99s in line with requirements.
- Able to provide system demos / Fund Accounting training as and when required to the team.
- Oversee the Professional Development of direct reports.
- Identify process and system improvements to enhance efficiencies.
- Represent fund accounting on key global strategic initiatives where required.
- Ability to build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Your Experience
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in an accounting environment.
- 2+ year\xe2\x80\x99s management experience.
- Professional Qualifications preferred (ACCA, ACA, CAIA, CFA, CIMA).
- Proven track record in Fund Accounting or similar role in the Funds industry.
- Proven track record in the production and review of NAV calculations.
- Excellent knowledge of Hedge Funds including the different fund structures and instrument types.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting a distinct advantage.
- Experience with financial statements preparation and review preferred.
- Strong teamwork, client relationship management and networking skills essential.
- Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced and control focused work environment.
- Ability to work both independently and enthusiastically as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight internal and client deadlines.
