Job Description

Element has an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Metallurgy team in UAE. As a member of the metallurgical laboratory operations team, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and ensure timely and accurate test results under minimal supervision.

This position will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities

Handle variety of assignments within the metallurgical laboratory for testings in the areas of mechanical, metallurgical, corrosion and coatings and be accountable for technical activities of a limited scope and take up individual projects and deliver as per the expectations within the committed timescale either in the lab or at site Effectively contribute to technical presentations and communications with the team members and the client as and when needed while working on well-defined issues, standard and/or routine tests, with limited supervision in accordance with approved procedures, methods, customer specifications and standards Manage job priority and work time in accordance with targets/goals set by supervisor under close guidance of Senior Engineers & other Engineers in the laboratory, on well delineated technical issues including standard and routine analysis Skills / Qualifications

A Bachelors of Science degree in Metallurgy or related field along with in-depth understanding of testing concepts Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed and able to apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions Possess strong computer skills Able to exert required physical force: Minimum (moderate) and able to handle lifting requirements (lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion) Able to stand on feet for long periods of time #LI-SR1 Company Overview
