Job PurposeTo act as the interface with stakeholders ensuring the delivery of both their service requirements and those of procurement. To lead and manage high spend and crucial category sourcing activities together with assigned sourcing Managers in a timely and cost-effective manner, which meets the set group standards and department objectives. Essential Roles and ResponsibilitesTo add value to the businesses by strategic sourcing practices that assess internal and external criteria and inputs to drive sourcing strategy. . Ensure proper delivery of projects by self-execution or provide guidance and input on strategic sourcing processes for the categories under designated Sourcing Manager's domain to ensure they are executed matching business expectations and Procurement guidelines in terms of quality & timelines. . Drive strategic category sourcing strategies, implementing, and maintaining risk analysis and mitigating action to protect the stakeholders . Coordinate all required activities within the assigned category of spend, to achieve lowest possible total cost of acquisition / ownership, while matching business expectations in terms of quality & timelines .Ensure full compliance of all sourcing activities with internal policies and procedures Category Management:. Understand, analyze, and report on assigned categories spend and supplier profile to drive category strategies that will involve . Defining Strategic Suppliers pool and manage their relations . Understand Business Spend focus and find means to reduce spend and operational time incurred by bringing innovative solutions from the market . To own commercial supply base management building strong internal and external business relationships to ensure value derived for ATG . Analyze ATG spend data and drive strategies of market engagement for assigned categories to find opportunities of increasing service delivery and reduce Total Cost of Ownership to ATG Stakeholder Management:. Build relationship with internal stakeholders to proactively plan sourcing activities related to the assigned category of spend . Understand stakeholders /business unit requirements including their business goals, targets, initiatives, directions and supplier performance requirements for their categories. . Challenge demand and requirements and manage customer expectations to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement. . Strong focus on value delivery, understanding stakeholder's requirements. Understanding of financial evaluation and cost drivers to craft business cases for change drive business adoption of the ideas . Communicate appropriate procurement messages regarding strategies, process and policies to customers, to ensure compliance and engender a common understanding of each other's goals and targets . Manages the relationship with stakeholders of procurement to ensure their needs are fulfilled and balanced with the needs of Procurement. Delivers added value by applying specialist knowledge of the spend categories covered by commercial portfolio Compliance: . Ensure that the end-to-end sourcing process is performed with full transparency, integrity and confidentiality as and when required Sourcing:. Translate requirements / scope of work into Request for Information / Request for Proposals . Clarify and negotiate scope of work with internal stakeholders ensuring real 'needs' of the business are tendered not the 'want' by shaping demand and compliance where appropriate . Ensure sourcing and commercial contract terms meets the business requirements through management of the strategic sourcing process. . Proven negotiation skills and influencing skills: able to influence business partners and suppliers as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to contract. Have a good negotiation skill set and awareness of commercial models to drive the right efficient and effective behaviours from suppliers to deliver business needs. . To build solid preferred supplier base and maintain up to date rate cards, leveraging spend base of ATG . Create and execute RFIs, RFPs, RFQs together with subsequent structured information analysis wherever possible using corporate e-sourcing platform. Negotiation Planning and Execution:. Create detailed pre-negotiation plans, to lead and participate any prolonged negotiation sessions with suppliers and to conduct post negotiation debriefs and follow through plansCost Modeling and Savings:. Construct detailed cost models/purchase price analysis of goods and services that are supplied to our Company, typically this will require extensive supplier discussions to create a complete understanding of the cost structure of suppliers. . Negotiate best cost, terms and conditions against the final approved scope and shortlisted vendor(s) Contract Management:. Prepare, finesse, and implement appropriate forms of contract and commitment with suppliers in conjunction with business units and Legal as per aligned way of working . Manage and evaluate contractual agreement terms to ensure compliance in conjunction with Legal and BU Supplier/Vendor Performance Management: . Ensure that appropriate supplier agreements and relationships have good supplier matrix embedded within them. . Monitor, report, manage and continuously improve supplier performance . Proven capability of applying supplier management techniques to ensure contracted benefits are delivered. Research and Analytics: . Analyze and report procurement spend across the Business to craft sourcing strategies that would result in value adding results not limited to savings. . Conduct a detailed supplier and supply market analysis looking at facts and data analysis, reports, and changes in technology and with the objective of providing deep and meaningful insight to Stakeholders and Sourcing Management teams . Creates/establishes external benchmark analysis including gap analysis and required actions to achieve competitive advantage. ExperienceMin 8-10 years' experience in a similar role within a procurement function, ideally within UAE in a centralized procurement model QualificationsGraduate (any discipline) preferably with Finance or Engineering background with MBA Knowledge & SkillsDetailed technical understanding of the assigned commodity / category of spend . Strong influencing and facilitation skills to act as the interface between stakeholders / business units and procurement balancing the optimum delivery of customer requirements with the need to adhere to designated procedures. . Detailed technical understanding of the assigned commodities / categories of spend . Critical thinking and problem-solving skills . Strong Project management skills showcasing capabilities to plan, mobilize and manage a Sourcing project with ability to solve show-stoppers and other potential de-railing issue for the project . Outstanding relationship management skills (internal & external) . Analytical & Negotiation skills . Market understanding on vendor capabilities, should costs, supply chain, etc. . Strong managerial skills to manage managers by coaching, directing and giving guidance on internal and external domains to achieve ATG objectives . Experience with ERPs in a must (preferable SAP / Oracle or JD Edwards) . Experience with E-sourcing suites is desired Additional Information
