Our award-winning Building Services team is currently seeking a Mechanical Associate Director, to join our design studio in Abu Dhabi. The Associate Director will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team leading the design for various historical projects across the Middle East.The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers for successful project delivery. This includes design review of the MEP systems, supervising engineers, coordinating, design documentation and contract administration on projects. The Associate Director contributes to the development of the company by supporting the senior management team in the progressive evolution of AECOM's design philosophy, research activities and technical development.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to successful project completion and management by providing expert technical services in accordance with the project time and quality.
  • Lead the coordination process with other Directors for continuity of the project.
  • Participate in preparation of bids and proposals on the commercial and technical side.
  • Review and check specifications, reports and drawings to ensure quality of design and output.
  • Assess if targets are achieved and determine where improvements could be made to increase efficiency.
  • Responsible for design activities of complete MEP systems as assigned.
  • Responsible for technical analysis and resolution of engineering problems.
  • Responsible for technical reviews of internal and external projects.Supervise and direct a team of engineers, designers and support personnel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (B.Eng or B.Sc).
  • International Accreditation (CEng, MCIBSE, MIET or equivalent)
Additional Information
  • 18+ years post graduate experience of relevant experience in design and project administration of large-scale projects within the consulting industry
  • Proven related professional experience in an MEP or Multi-disciplinary practice
  • Experience of working on large-scale projects
  • Middle East experience essential
