About the job Assistant Vice President - Sharia Audit Excellence & Subsidiary Governance
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced AVP Head of Sharia Audit Excellence & Subsidiary Governance to lead and enhance the Sharia audit framework within our clients. The role requires an Arabic-speaking professional with extensive experience in Sharia Audit and subsidiary governance. A Certified Sharia Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) certification is mandatory
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and implement a comprehensive Sharia audit framework ensuring compliance with Islamic banking principles.
• Develop and execute Sharia audit strategies across the bank and its subsidiaries.
• Ensure adherence to AAOIFI, IFSB, and other regulatory frameworks related to Islamic banking.
• Conduct periodic Sharia compliance reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Lead Sharia audit engagements and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide governance and advisory support to subsidiaries in alignment with Sharia principles.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with the Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB).
• Develop training programs to enhance awareness of Sharia compliance within the bank.
• Monitor emerging trends and regulatory changes impacting Islamic banking governance.

• Fluent in Arabic and English
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Sharia Audit
• Certified Sharia Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) certification
• Experience managing Sharia compliance and governance in banking subsidiaries
