Assist in managing and planning the categories for strategic sourcing function in efficient and comprehensive approach
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing the taxonomy of categories in accordance to Aldar's spend portfolio, grouping them as per their nature of procurement (goods, works, services, etc.).
Developing category strategy while considering the following:
Criticality of category and complexity of supply market: Strategic, Bottleneck, Leverage or Non-Critical.
Contracting model to be adopted for the particular category (Lump sum, item rate, Cost plus etc.)
Type of bidding process (Single stage, Two stage, Techno-commercial, without technical evaluation, Sole source, etc.)
Identify applicable procurement risks at category level and prioritizing of the risks based their impact, likelihood and mitigation potential as a part of Category Risk Management process.
Developing Annual Procurement Plan to offer a foreseeable, structured, and scheduled approach meeting end user division requirement in an efficient manner
Aligning, consolidating and prioritizing the category level procurement activities for a given year based on inputs from end user division during Annual Procurement Planning.
Conduct Spend Analysis to identify and gather previous spent data for analysis and extraction of patterns and trends.
Mapping spend data for to the categories for performing category based spend analysis.
Consolidate the outliers and inferences category wise and prepares the spend analysis report based on criticality of spend category
Gathering, analyzing and dissemination of information from the respective Market relevant to the Aldar's procurement service or product in term of Market intelligence report to support and enhance the decision making and bargaining power, as well as enhancing the overall procurement categories and their strategies.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with business units, other cross functional procurement teams and suppliers

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE
Min of 8+ years of experience in Category Management and Procurement.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
Experience with large-scale developer procurement systems and methodologies
Real estate or construction industry
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Excellent Planning and Analytical skills, attention to details to ensure high level of accuracy
High level of professional and personal ethical standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), adept at building strong relationships and teamwork
Ability to multi-task
Relationship Management skills with Stakeholders.
Strong Negotiation skills.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, CIPS or APS professional qualification is preferable.
