Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
Verify quantity and quality of materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Arrange materials systematically in the store as per item category and safety guidelines.
Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and storage of items to avoid mix-ups or damage.
2. Inventory Control
Maintain accurate stock records and inventory reports (manual or ERP-based).
Conduct regular physical stock verification and report discrepancies.
Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained to meet project/site demands.
Identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete items and report to management.
3. Material Issuance
Issue materials as per approved Material Requisition or Material Issue Voucher (MIV).
Record and update stock cards and ledgers immediately after each issue or receipt.
Ensure materials are issued only against authorized documentation.
4. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain GRN (Goods Received Note), MIV, Return Notes, and other store records.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports and submit to management.
Coordinate with Procurement and Finance for invoice verification and material reconciliation.
5. Safety and Housekeeping
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage environment.
Follow safety and security procedures for handling hazardous or heavy materials.
Monitor proper stacking, shelving, and housekeeping practices to prevent accidents or losses.
6. Coordination
Coordinate with Procurement, Project, and Accounts departments for material requirements.
Liaise with suppliers and transporters for timely delivery and collection of goods.
Support in project mobilization and demobilization activities.
