Job Description

Job Summary:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food quality, and managing staff. This role involves supervising employees, handling customer concerns, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations (e.g., food handling, cleanliness).
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Oversee food presentation, portion control, and quality to meet brand standards.
2. Customer Service:
  • Greet and assist guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Train staff on customer service best practices and hospitality standards.
3. Staff Supervision & Training:
  • Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising restaurant staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching/feedback.
  • Foster a positive work environment and resolve employee conflicts.
4. Financial & Administrative Duties:
  • Help manage budgets, control costs, and minimize waste.
  • Process payroll, track attendance, and manage shift schedules.
  • Assist with cash handling, daily sales reports, and deposit procedures.
