About the Job:

The main purpose of this role is to deliver a great guest experience, ensuring the smooth operation of the booking system whilst always maintaining the highest standards of customer service and deliver consistently high levels of excellence to ensure complete satisfaction of customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Provide knowledgeable, friendly, professional and efficient F&B support to all colleagues ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in a manner consistent with Madinat Jumeirah standards.

Maintain efficient workflow by adhering to the Sequence of Service and all timeframes and standards detailed in relevant SOP in the F&B Standard\'s Manual.

Represents the venue first and last point of guest contact entrusted with their warm welcome and fond farewell.

Assists the Outlet Manager to manage all aspects of a specific Outlet(s) within the F&B department including the selection, development and performance management of colleagues, optimizing profits and increasing sales.

Has a good presence with arriving customers and is able to allocate and seat guests according to the sequence of service. Has a full understanding of the sequence of service and their role within these standards.

Work closely, guide and communicate with Restaurant Reservations on daily occasions ensuring all guests\' requests are accommodated. Providing regular updates regarding availability to JCRR to avoid overbookings. Communicate regarding all large groups and events for smoother operation while ensuring all group booking policies are followed.

To provide backup and support within the staffing structure and carrying out all other duties of other members of the team in the event of absence/illness.

To be responsible for managing all staffing issues within the reception team including sign in/out, rotas, holiday cover, in-house training, professional development, performance management and day-to-day feedback on performance.

To ensure the restaurant reaches or exceeds it potential through constant maximization of the number of covers as well as walk-ins.

Can handle complaints and feedback from customers in a calm and professional manner especially over the telephone. Gathers all information and communicates the issues to management.

Has full knowledge of all products and is able to confidently describe to a customer. Can confidently take an order asking all relevant questions.

To manage function bookings, liaise with FOH/BOH and the client to deliver seamless and well-planned events.

To understand and comply with all local licensing laws and to promote responsible service of alcohol.

Can make simple decisions that affect their own work, or the customers experience in a positive manner.

Is required to be immaculate and presentable and understand the importance of first impressions.

Ensures problems are dealt with immediately and proactively with the support of Outlet Manager.

Has good time management and organisational skills. Reports for duty, meetings and training on time.

Actively always engages with colleagues and customers.

Ensure correct protocol and treatment is prepared and given to our high-profile VIP guests.

Work closely with the Rooms Division Guest Relations Manager and Concierge to ensure free flow of information and seamless management of guests\' experiences.

Marketing/Outlet development:

To promote the restaurant and generate new business to achieve sales targets by developing relationships with clients and local businesses.

Can spot a sales opportunity and upsell products and service to existing or potential guests. Has the ability to draw guests into the restaurant converting any passers-by to guests.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Hotel or Hospitality Degree.

Advanced English - spoken and written.

1-2 years Food and Beverage Experience needed in a premium Fine Dining Establishment in a 5-star Hotel on a Management level.

Computer skills - Microsoft Office.

Interpersonal People skills.

Cashiering Systems (Micros, HSI, other)

Proficiency using Sevenrooms or other TMS (Table management system)
