Job Summary:
The Assistant Quality Officer will assist the Quality Manager in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO/IEC 17025. The role involves supporting internal and external audits, documentation control, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest quality standards in all laboratory processes. Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
Assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other relevant standards.
Ensure that all laboratory activities align with the established QMS and regulatory requirements.
Audits & Documentation:
Support internal and external quality audits by preparing and organizing necessary documentation, records, and evidence of compliance.
Review laboratory procedures, equipment calibration records, and test reports to ensure they adhere to quality standards.
Maintain and update quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manuals, and records, to ensure they are current and accurate.
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA):
Monitor the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and follow up to ensure they are properly closed out and effective in resolving quality issues.
Quality Awareness & Training:
Coordinate with technical and laboratory staff to address quality-related concerns and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Assist in the development and delivery of quality awareness and training programs for staff at all levels.
Data Collection & Analysis:
Assist in the collection and analysis of quality performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Contribute to reporting on quality metrics to management and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
Support quality projects and contribute ideas for optimizing laboratory processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a testing laboratory or construction-related industry.
Knowledge & Skills:
Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and other laboratory quality standards.
Good knowledge of quality auditing practices and document control systems.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with staff at all levels and communicate quality-related issues clearly and professionally.
