You:

United Al Saqer Heavy Equipment Spare Parts department (Procurement, Logistics and Costing) is seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager for Heavy Vehicles to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and monitoring supplier performance. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring business protocol compliance and collaborating with Unit & Parts Sales and Service teams.

The Assistant Procurement Manager will be responsible for identifying process bottlenecks and implementing solutions to ensure timely delivery of parts. The candidate will also analyze supply chain data and performance to ensure that the department is meeting its goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.

Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.

Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.

Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.

Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.

Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.

Preparing procurement reports.

Requirements

Requirements and skills

3-5 years relevant experience in commercial vehicles & heavy equipment parts within UAE local market

Diploma or Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering

Valid UAE Driving license is a must

Proven experience managing supply chain operations.

Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP, DMS or similar.

In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).

Management and leadership skills
