Job Description

The Assistant Pharmacist supports licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing customer service. This role ensures smooth pharmacy operations, maintains accurate records, and helps deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmaceutical services.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications
Help customers with medication inquiries under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Label, package, and organize medications according to regulations
Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels and placing orders
Receive, unpack, and store medication deliveries
Keep accurate records of prescriptions, patient information, and inventory
Support the pharmacist in compounding medications, if required
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, guidelines, and safety procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy
Provide administrative support, including billing, record-keeping, and data entry
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma in Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician Certification, or related qualification
Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred
Basic knowledge of medications, dosages, and medical terminology
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and MS Office
Ability to work under supervision and handle confidential information
