Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Mechanical) Nationality: Any Nationality Vacancy: 1 Vacancy Key Accountabilities:

Supervises the day-to-day operations of the pipe department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures. Prioritizes health and safety in daily activities. Reviews, approves and follows up project programmes and takes appropriate measures where required for contractual delivery of projects. Researches and develops new work techniques and technologies related to pipe fabrication and welding, including improvement of documentation process flow for the Department. Receives and executes any work-related instructions from the Department Manager. Substitutes the Department Manager during his absence, when appointed. Defines the priorities for the daily work processes of the Department. Liaises with other trades, Ship Repair Managers, and Superintendents to ensure smooth workflow on projects. Inspects work sites inside the department (workshop, offices) and on board to ensure resources are optimized. Raises Occurrence Reports and approves repair methods for rejected work. Approves Material Requisitions. Prepares and recommends the Pipe section budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed. Monitors the financial performance of the Pipe section against budgets to identify and rectify areas of unsatisfactory performance and capitalize on potential performance improvement opportunities. Desired Candidate Profile:

Graduate in Engineering discipline. Strong piping constructions management skills, familiar with international piping codes and standards. Proven strong leadership quality and exceptional understanding of other disciplines like Electrical/Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Structural activities. Strong construction planning and monitoring skills. 10 years of significant experience in the field of shipyard, refinery plant, and oil & gas offshore experience related to piping constructions. An experienced leader, motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to control a multinational workforce in a dynamic situation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
