About the Role:

As the Assistant Manager, Human Resources, you will assist in establishing and managing all aspects of the human resources function for our pre-opening luxury hotel. You will collaborate closely with the Human Resources Manager and other key stakeholders to implement best practices and policies that align with our hotel\'s values, objectives, and legal requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and implementing human resources strategies, policies, and procedures that support the overall business objectives of the hotel.

Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.

Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop effective workforce planning strategies.

Support the development and implementation of comprehensive training and development programs to enhance employee performance and engagement.

Oversee employee relations initiatives, ensuring a positive work environment and resolving any employee-related issues or conflicts.

Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.

Support the performance management process, including conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback and coaching to employees.

Assist in developing and managing employee retention strategies to foster a high-performance culture.

Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and propose proactive solutions to address any issues.

Stay up to date with HR best practices, industry trends, and legal requirements, and make recommendations for improvements to HR policies and procedures.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in human resources, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Solid knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.

Proven experience in recruitment, training and development, employee relations, and performance management.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.

Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and MS Office Suite.

Professional certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are desirable.
