Job Description
Are you a finance professional with a sharp eye for reconciliation and controls? A leading bank in Dubai is looking for an Assistant Manager GL Control to join their Finance team and take ownership of end-to-end general ledger monitoring and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies between Core Banking and other systems with EGL.
- Investigate and address issues in Failover, Level 2, and Level 3 financial reports.
- Identify and resolve CAL + CPL variances in coordination with IT and other departments.
- Rectify daily Trial Balance differences working closely with branches, operations, and IT.
- Reconcile Real, DE, Interbranch, Intersystem Bridge, GL vs Sub-GL, and Suspense accounts.
- Oversee reconciliation of all asset and liability GL accounts.
- Manage GL ownership across departments and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to risk mitigation and continuous improvement in financial control.
- A minimum of 68 years of banking experience, ideally within financial control or GL functions.
- Bachelors degree (mandatory) with a professional accounting qualification ACA or ACCA.
- Deep understanding of financial accounting, banking systems, and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in IFRS standards and financial reporting tools.
