A prominent asset management firm is looking to hire an Assistant Manager, Finance in their growing team in Dubai.
About the Assistant Manager, Finance role:
You will be responsible to ensure the firm\'s accounting and prudential requirements are aligned to international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including submitting regulatory returns to Dubai and Abu Dhabi regulatory authorities (DFSA and FSRA)
Ensure accurate reconciliation of income, review and approve vendor payments in a timely manner.
Collaborate with external fund administrators to prepare periodic financial statements, such as NAV statement, profit and loss statement, and balance sheet.
Conduct quarterly reviews of balance sheet accounts and CAPEX, ensuring compliance with IFRS and resolving any outstanding or inaccurately reported balances.
Aid in the preparation of annual budgets, monthly management information system (MIS), and forecasts with the Asset Management team for each asset.
Monitor and analyze budget versus actual performance, identifying variances and assessing gaps for each asset.
Handle quarterly VAT preparation and filing with the Federal Tax Authority.
Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, tax advisors, and banks.
Manage treasury and banking relationships, ensuring compliance with loan covenants and other contractual obligations.
Create presentations and reports supported by analysis, research, and summaries of market data, information, and trends.
Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by management to support decision-making and organizational strategy.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in Finance or related discipline
Accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA are preferred
Minimum three years of finance experience in a financial services institution; ideally with exposure in a real estate fund
Self-starter individual who is proactive and willing to learn
