The Wearables & Accessories Category Manager is responsible for managing the Samsung Ecosystem portfolio (Watch, TWS, and Accessories). This includes managing the product mix, pricing, and value propositions of said category and ensuring that they meet desired revenue goals.
The role will mainly be responsible for both product planning and product marketing including GTM strategy, managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, product awareness and training, gathering and prioritizing product and customer VOCs, defining the product sales strategy, and working closely with different stakeholders (internal/external) to deliver winning propositions. It also includes working with MENA markets sales, marketing, and product management teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Moreover, this role will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date Ecosystem Category operations, business, and performance dashboards to provide in-depth visibility and understanding of the category\xe2\x80\x99s current and future trends and translate them into sales opportunities.
Role and Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
Define the product line-up strategy and roadmap including pricing, customer segmentation, promotional strategies, new products launch/introduction, and manage the product lifecycle
Develop regional/market plans and core positioning/messaging, value propositions, and sales enabler programs for the products within the category
Perform market research to identify new opportunities for category expansion and monitor market trends and conditions to identify shifts in demand for category products
Work with HQ and external third parties to secure partnerships and brand collaborations
Support in whitelisting and rollout of products\xe2\x80\x99 health and safety features across the region
Be an expert with respect to all category products and be the go-to person for all product technical details, including working with other departments to develop a marketing strategy, messaging, collateral, promotions, PR, and online content
Full ownership over category issues as they arise and overlook and flag day-to-day sales/price gaps, issues, and SCM operations
Maintain business, operations, insights, trends, and performance dashboards and reports for the category products and continuous monitoring and improvement of any business, process, and operational inefficiencies
Ownership of Wearables/Accessories sales targets, KPIs, out-of-stock, aging inventory, provide necessary analysis and drive markets with action plans to achieve targets.
Align category strategy with company and division short-term and long-term goals and vision
Skills and Qualifications
Essential skills and Qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure & language skills)
5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role or as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager for Wearables/Accessories
Background in Consumer Electronics/Telecom is an advantage
Self-starter, analytical, and strategic thinker with strong commercial and technical skills
Superb communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to present complex analytics to an executive audience
Excellent time management with the ability to work on tight deadlines and handle the pressure of last-minute requests
Ability to operate comfortably and optimally in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment
Strong basic productivity tools user is a must (Excel, PowerPoint\xe2\x80\xa6etc.)
Advanced Data Visualization tools and Big Data Analytics is an advantage
