Job Purpose

The jobholder works directly with stakeholders across the bank and externally (Auditors, Consultants, CBUAE) to understand their business problems and provide appropriate Business Intelligence solutions by analyzing, designing and implementing reporting and dashboards for Tier 1 and 2 projects.

The jobholder will be responsible for design, development and management of a data warehouse environment used for analytics and reporting and translate business requirements into specifications required to drive.

Principle Accountabilities
  • The Jobholder needs to be able to have an end-to-end vision, and to see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical Databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive Stages involved in Data warehouse development & optimization and hands-on ETL development.
  • The jobholder is responsible to conceptualize and create interactive Dashboards with embedded analysis capability and ensures monthly reconciliation of these Dashboards before releasing to higher management. Additionally creating business metrics as dash board styled reports.
  • The jobholder will be responsible for working with business analysts and project managers to develop and refine reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Creation of metadata/business layers by empowering business partners to enable the adoption of self-service reporting.
  • The job holder is responsible in preparing and analyzing financial and business performance reports. This includes the preparation and timely submission of all reports and analysis.
  • Simplify and automate management reporting process to reduce close cycle time by creating, managing and providing various daily, monthly, quarterly, annual and reports to the management/departments/branches.
  • The jobholder is responsible for the ongoing development and set-up of an operational data store and enterprise data warehouse
  • The jobholder is responsible for the requirements analysis at the demand management and finally the implementation, management and operationalization of the Business Intelligence Exploitation deliverables including data foundation as well as the exploitation through real time service provision, traditional reporting and dashboards.
  • Job holder needs to interact with various business operation leaders to collate information, devise processes/timelines and to ensure information is flowing through efficiently.
  • This function requires understanding the relevance, source and availability of data as well as ability to effectively distribute, display and drill down the data to drive operational change.
