Do you have a passion for wine? Are you able to apply your creativity, knowledge, expertise and descriptive vocabulary to explain in a creative manner to guests the full bodied flavors, tannin varietals, and recommend which wine compliments which ingredient? At Atlantis the Palm we require a professional Assistant Head Sommelier to advise, guide, recommend and inspire our guests and about the vast assortment of wine available to them in order to enhance their dining experience. You will also demonstrate that a great Sommelier can add value and not just cost to a restaurants wine list and in turn, create an everlasting memory and experience for the guest.

A stable background in luxury restaurants is essential, as is your qualification from WSET or similar. Ideally you will already have experience preparing wine lists, maintaining wine stock and training staff demonstrating your expertise. Impeccable personal presentation and grooming is essential in this role, as is the ability to read a social situation and deliver a first class experience at all times.

Head Sommeliers must demonstrate a clear passion for customer service and a willingness to learn more about management and leading a team.
