- Manage daily operations, including overseeing shipments, tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information and addressing any concerns or complaints.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, finance, and operations, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Analyze data to identify trends, improve processes, and increase efficiency.
- Manage and train staff to ensure that they meet performance expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on a regular basis.
- Maintain and grow clients with a passion for excellent client service by successfully targeting and securing new business.
- Handle communication with various overseas agents regarding bookings and the negotiation of handling fees and other origin costs.
- Develops standard operating procedures for various accounts.
- Analyses sales statistics to help plans and sales activity.
- Lead in solving any problems that occur with shipments, and make sure that all parties who need to be kept updated receive timely updates.
- Liaise between truckers, customers, and delivery locations for final delivery of shipments.
- Maximize operational efficiency and minimize end-to-end delivery cost.
- Identify and capitalize on financial opportunities that drive savings through gross margin initiatives.
- Champion efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with the implementation of changes within areas of responsibility.
- Manage and prepare supplier contracts. Negotiate and draft proposals/agreements to ensure market competitiveness.
